About Traci Hayner Vanover (@promodiva)
Hello! Thanks so much for checking out the link in my Twitter profile.
You can learn more about my professional background and business by visiting my About page. The information below is a bit more personal in nature — and will provide a quick snapshot of who I am, and what I do.
You already know that my name is Traci Hayner Vanover — although most folks on the web know me as the Promo Diva®. I am the sassy and oh-so-caffeinated voice behind the Promo Diva Blog, and the @promodiva Twitter account.
My tweets are primarily focused on sharing tips, tools and resources for entrepreneurs, and internet marketers. I also make a point in retweeting the same types of tools that I hear about through my network of clients, friends and colleagues.
I’m a firm believer that inspiration often comes from unexpected places — it’s not unusual for me to illustrate a point by using a pop culture reference — classic television shows, 80s music, and game shows are just some of the topics which have become fodder for my Tweets. I’ll do my level best to keep you entertained, and even share a few insights along the way. Please jump in and share your thoughts, opinions and questions anytime.
One thing’s for sure — it will never be boring.
I’m a patriotic American who has found herself living in challenging times — times that have occasionally forced me to step out of my comfort zone and stand up for the values and principles that I hold dear. The freedom to share our ideas with one another (and even spirited debate) is one thing that makes this country great!
I’ve been known to tweet a corny joke from time to time. I’ve never been someone who can tell a joke well, so I will readily admit that the ones I share are typically a retweet of someone far more comically gifted than myself. Consider yourself warned!
Behind the Scenes
My husband and I share our life and home with three spoiled rotten Yorkshire terriers. As you can see from the photo at the right, I’ve become one of “those” pet parents that likes to dress her dogs (that is, when I can get them to sit still long enough). Like most proud parents, we like to share stories about their antics and adventures. You can check out more photos of the gang over at Facebook.
We’re avid hockey fans, and specifically root for the Detroit Red Wings. My husband is one of those fans that becomes obsessively superstitious during the playoffs, and has been known to attribute losses to the rest of the family for not wearing our jerseys on game day. That’s right, folks — we even got little jerseys for the critters.
When I’m not working or wrangling the pups, I enjoy movies and music in a wide range of styles, but my favorite will always be jazz. I’d love to know what you’re listening to, as well as any suggestions for items I should be adding to my ever-growing playlist. Drop me a note and let me know!
You could say I have an addiction to crazy socks — the more colorful and outrageous, the more likely I am to fall head-over-heels for them. What tends to confound everyone is that my socks are in stark contrast to an otherwise conservative image. I guess you could say I am the result of what happens when you combine J. Crew with Rainbow Brite.
As you may have guessed from this site’s header graphic, I do love my caffeine. In years past, you could always gauge my creativity on a given day by the conga line of empty Diet Coke® cans on my desk. I finally gave up drinking soda at the end of 2009 — but make no mistake, I have no plans to give up caffeine. In fact, I tend to think caffeine is integral to the creative process!

I am fairly active in a few of the other social networks as well (see the links in the right margin –>) — so please feel free to give me a shout if you would like to connect there as well.
